The Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves will duke it out for a pivotal Game 3 of their Western Conference first-round series on Friday at Target Center.
Fired up by their head coach, JJ Reddick’s tirade in the third quarter, the Lakers got their act together to pull away from the Timberwolves in the second half and even the series at 1-1. Luka Doncic led the attack with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists, and LeBron James added 21 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists for the Lakers, who overcame a cold shooting night from the three-point area (6 for 29 3PT%).
The Wolves did a terrific job defensively against the Lakers in Game 2. Still, the lack of contributions around Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards cost them a win and a possible 2-0 series lead. Randle finished with 27 points, and Edwards posted 25 on 10 for 22 shooting. No other Wolves player scored in double digits on Wednesday besides the two stars.

Anthony Edwards has put up pedestrian numbers in the series' first two games. However, I believe we will see the real Antman in Game 3, playing on the Wolves’ home floor, where he’s most comfortable.
