The Cavaliers should be feeling confident heading into this matchup as they are fresh off a 114-98 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday and have won four in a row and six of their last seven. Donovan Mitchell is having a solid season, averaging 29.5 points per game, and has been on fire of late with 45 points Monday vs. the Magic, 36 on Saturday vs. Orlando, and 33 on Friday vs. Sacramento. As for the Lakers, LA is coming off a 129-118 victory vs. the Bulls in Chicago on Monday and has won four of its last five games. Leading the way, of course, was Luka Doncic. In his last four games, he scored 38, 32, 33, and 46 points. He averages 33.5 points per game.
If the playoffs were to start tomorrow, the Cavaliers would be the No. 5 team in the Eastern Conference, one game back of Toronto and New York and two back of Boston for the No. 2 seed. The Lakers would also be the No. 5 seed (a half-game back of the Rockets for the No. 4 seed).
