The Los Angeles Lakers (7-2) visit the Atlanta Hawks (4-5) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Saturday, November 8, at State Farm Arena.
The Lakers stake their hot start on the road when they face the Hawks on Sunday. So far, the Lakers have not lost a road game this season, emerging victorious in Sacramento, Minnesota, Memphis, and Portland. This match against the Hawks is the start of a five-game road trip for the Lakers.
It does help that they're coming off five straight wins, including a morale-boosting 118-116 victory over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. Luka Doncic put up another brilliant display, finishing with a near triple-double of 35 points, 9 rebounds, 13 assists, and 5 steals. Deandre Ayton also hauled in a double-double outing of 22 points and 10 boards.
As for the Hawks, they're coming off a disappointing 109-97 loss to the Toronto Raptors. They actually led by nine points entering the second half, but their offense sputtered in the third and fourth quarters.
Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with 21 points, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker chipped in 20. The Hawks are still trying to solve their problems on offense, with injured star point guard Trae Young still sidelined.
