Blake Snell is scheduled to start for the Dodgers. Snell went 5-4 in 11 regular-season starts with an ERA of 2.35, a 1.26 WHIP, and a .230 OBA. He didn't win a road start during the regular season, going 0-3 in four starts with a 4.30 ERA with a .298 OBA. But he did win two road starts in the postseason, one in Milwaukee and one in Philadelphia. In the playoffs, he went 3-0 with a .86 ERA, giving up just six hits, five walks, and two runs while scoring out 28 in 21 innings of work. Trey Yesavage will get the start for the Blue Jays. He only had three starts during the regular season; the Blue Jays won all three, but he only factored into the final one, recording his first win. Like Snell, he has had three postseason appearances, going 2-1 with a 4.20 ERA.

Shohei Ohtani led the way, hitting .357 with three home runs and pitching six shutout innings while giving up two hits. He's had five home runs in the postseason, but is only hitting .220. Teoscar Hernandez has hit four home runs and has knocked in 11 RBI.

But the ALCS was much more challenging; they faced elimination in Game 6 but won to tie the series, then clinched it with a 4-3 victory in Game 7. Toronto got some clutch performances from its lineup with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hitting .385 with three home runs in the ALCS (Guerrero has hit .442 in the postseason with six home runs). George Springer also hit three home runs, including the three-run shot that put them ahead in Game 7.

LA won the regular season series vs. the Blue Jays 2-1, but the series was in Los Angeles, where the Dodgers were 52-29. Toronto's lineup has been killing the ball during the postseason, but Blake Snell has been untouchable. When he faced the Blue Jays during the regular season, he pitched five innings of shutout ball, giving up three hits and three walks while striking out ten. Yesavage has been good, but not great in the playoffs. This is a tough call, but I've got to go with the Dodgers to win Game One.
