For the weekend series in St. Louis between the Cardinals and Dodgers, the pitching duel is expected to be between Wrobleski for Los Angeles and Sonny Gray, generating fairly even betting action.

The Dodgers got their revenge in Los Angeles against the Mets, who had beaten them in Queens, winning the series 2-1 at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers won game 1 and 3 6-5. They had started Thursday losing 0-4 but Betts, Ohtani and Teoscar led the comeback, the game then became 3-5 in favor of the Mets but in a rare failure by the New York Bullpen they allowed 3 runs in the eighth inning. Finally, Tanner Scott, like in Game 1, came in to close out Game 3 and recorded his 11th save of the season.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are still hitting a team-high .259 AVG, though no better than the Dodgers' .265, but their pitching had perhaps its worst series of 2025 against the Royals in the previous series, and they also played a grueling doubleheader Thursday that went late into the night.
