The Los Angeles Dodgers and Giants will face off in Game 2 of their three-game weekend series this afternoon at 4:05 p.m. EST at Oracle Park in San Francisco, CA. Despite their recent struggles, the Dodgers opened as betting favorites over the home team Giants.

It’s been a tough run for the Dodgers of late. With a 3-2 loss to the Brewers in Milwaukee yesterday, the  Dodgers were swept in their second consecutive series; they had previously been swept by the Astros in Houston. It’s the first time the Dodgers have lost six in a row since the 2019 season. As for the Giants, San Francisco would like nothing more than to erase some of the gap between the division-leading Dodgers and second-place Giants. To that end, the Giants will hand Landen Roupp the ball to start the day. Roupp is 6-5 in 18 starts with a 3.39 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. However, he has had his best stuff when pitching at home, where he is 2-1 in seven starts with a 1.85 ERA and an oba of .234.  The Dodgers are set to go with Shohei Ohtani, but he will probably not pitch more than a couple of innings before LA pulls him out of the game.
