The Los Angeles Dodgers (8-1, 2-1 away) will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard today when they face the Philadelphia Phillies (6-1, 4-0 at home) in Game Two of a three-game series. Friday’s 3-2 loss was the first defeat of the season for the Dodgers. The Dodgers got a solid outing out of Yoshinobu Yamamoto (six innings, three hits, one run (not earned). But the game was lost when reliever Kirby Yates was tagged for a pair of runs in 2/3 of an inning in the seventh. Phillies closer Jordan Romano got the save despite giving up a two-run homer in the ninth.

Roki Sasaki will get the nod for the Dodgers to start. He struggled in his last appearance, 1 2/3 innings vs. the Detroit Tigers. He gave up three hits and four walks while striking out two and giving up two earned runs. He was better in his first outing, three innings vs. the Cubs in the Tokyo Series on March 19 (one hit, one walk, one earned run). Aaron Nola gets the ball for the Phillies. He’ll try to bounce back from a disastrous first start that saw the Nationals tag him for five earned runs off six hits in 5 1/3 innings.
