After stealing Game 2 in Los Angeles, the Mets find themselves in a position to seize control of the series with the next two games set to be played on their home field. The Mets' offense woke up in Game 2 after ending up scoreless in the series opener. NL MVP candidate Francisco Lindor blasted a solo homer in the first inning to ignite a 6-0 start for the Mets. The Dodgers tried to rally back with Max Muncy and Tommy Edman drove runs in the fifth and sixth innings to get their team within three runs, 6-3, at the end of the sixth inning. However, Sterling Marte connected on an RBI single in the 9th inning, nabbing the series-tying win for the visiting team.
