The Marlins upset the Dodgers by a final score of 11-9 in Miami, with pre-game odds of +194.

Despite the winning record, the Dodgers were expected to be more dominant and easily reach 100 wins, but that is hardly going to be the case. However, none of that is Ohtani's fault as his bat has been the one that carried the Dodgers' offense all season and he is 2 HRs and 2 stolen bases away from completing a milestone in MLB history, a 50-50 season.

Ohtani hit a huge HR, which was his 48th, in the first game of the series at Loan Depot Park. Schumaker, the Dodgers' manager, referred to the hit saying "He hit one a long way (402 feet). But he's a superstar. That's going to happen."

However, the star of the night was Sanchez, of the Marlins who was unstoppable and went 5-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 2 2Bs. Burger also contributed greatly to the 11 runs of the fish, hit his first HR Aug 21 and drove in 4 runs.

Burger ended this with a pretty big slump, it seemed that he would easily have another season of 30 HRs but now it remains to be seen if it is possible with only weeks left before the regular season ends.
