The fortress that Kauffman Stadium once represented for the Royals, at least throughout June, appears to have been anything but. When the Royals lost the first game of the series against the Dodgers, they ended their losing streak in Kansas City at 11. Fortunately for the Royals, they snapped the streak by beating the Dodgers 9-5 in Game 2, and the decider will be played on Sunday.

The key to beating the Dodgers—at least for the Royals in Game 2—was silencing Ohtani's bat. The Japanese star went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in an atypical game for him. Still, with Pasquantino's three-run homer, who also hit a two-run double, the Royals overcame Freeman's solo homer to win on Saturday.

While Roberts hasn't decided on a regular pitcher for the Dodgers for Saturday night amid so many injuries, the Royals are almost certain to pitch with left-hander Kris Bubic, who struck out 8 in his last start against the Rays.
