Two teams that made a splash at the trade deadline will face off in a 3-game series tonight. The Los Angeles Dodgers will be in Chicago to take on the Cubs. While neither acquisition will play this evening, they are certainly names that will soon.

The Dodgers picked up Tarik Skubal from the Tigers and have the entire baseball world buzzing. One of the top starters in the league joins what was already a loaded pitching staff. However, tonight, it will be Justin Wrobleski starting for the Dodgers. LA is coming off a series where they were swept by the visiting Boston Red Sox. They were outscored 20-10 in the series, something they are not used to having happen this season. The Cubs added an arm to their staff as well. Not at the caliber of Skubal, but Kevin Gausmann will lend a helping hand to this Cubs team that is trying to make their way to the top of the division. ve time to make up that differential. Tonight, they will be starting Matthew Boyd, who is having a strong season. He is 6-1 on the year with a 3.41 ERA. He will look to build off a good start in his last outing. He went 7 innings of scoreless work against the Cardinals.
