The Rangers lost Game 1 of their series against the Angels on Monday, but bounced back on Tuesday and won 7-3.

With Tuesday's win, Bruce Bochy's team's record stands at 67-67. They're five games behind the last-place Wild Card team, but the 2023 champions have reason to believe a comeback is possible, as they have elite pitching and their next four games will be against division rivals with losing records.

Patrick Corbin pitched arguably his best start for the Rangers in Game 2. Corbin cruised through eight innings, allowing only three hits, no runs, and striking out eight Angels; he was in complete control. In another excellent piece of news for the Rangers, Adolis García had two hits in the previous win, extending his hitting streak to four, and has hit at least one in eight of his last nine games. Seager also responded with his 20th home run of the season.

As for the Angels, they're having another losing season, albeit less catastrophic than the 2024 season. Midway through the season, the team lost manager Ron Washington, who underwent heart surgery. However, the team achieved their goal of becoming a home run team; the Angels are the 4th-highest home run hitter this year with 185.
