Tampa Bay Rays vs Los Angeles Angels Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Los Angeles Angels are off to a solid start this season, going 6-3 in their first nine. They’ll try to make it 7-3 tonight when they face the Rays at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, FL. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST.

Los Angeles finished up a three-game series with the Cleveland Guardians  Sunday with a 6-2 win, their second victory in a row. Ty Anderson gave the team a nice outing on the mound, but the lineup led the way with three home runs on the day,  one from Logan O’Hoppe in the second, Jorge Soler in the sixth (that put the Angels ahead for good), and Kyren Parris in the eighth. As for the Rays, after getting the season off to a 4-1 start, they’ve lost four in a row, including a three-game road series vs. Texas.

The Angels will give veteran right-hander Kyle Hendricks the ball to start the game. He pitched well in his first start but did not factor into the decision, going six innings and giving up seven hits and two runs while striking out four. Tampa Bay will turn to Shane Baz, who went six innings in his first start (vs. Pirates), giving up seven hits but no runs with ten strikeouts.
