The betting sites weren't wrong when they set a close game for the first game of the Angels-Cardinals series, even though St. Louis had swept the Twins in the opening series. The game was tied by just one run for much of the game. Kyren Paris hit a triple for the Angels that tied the game, extending it into extra innings, where the Angels would score two runs in the tenth to close out a 4-5 victory for the visitors.
