Seattle Mariners take on Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the second of their MLB four game series. The Angels won the first game of the series, which in turn knocked the Mariners out of playoff contention. The M's played poorly and it will be interesting to see how that defeat, particularly making it mathematically impossible for them to challenge for a play off spot, will affect them going into this one.
The Angels haven't enjoyed a great season, either. They sit bottom of American League West with a 61-98 record and a Pct of just .384. That win over the Mariners did halt a run of three successive defeats, but LA have lost four of their last six.
As for the M's, they sit in third in American League West with a 74-85 record and a Pct of .465. Whether Seattle can bounce back from play off disappointment we'll soon find out, but for our prediction we're focusing on the total runs market and we think they'll be over 6.5 runs in this one.
