There are several things going well for the Mariners in this first month of the season. The most recent is hot-hitting Jorge Polanco, one of the best second basemen with the bat today, who is posting 69 ABs and a .377 AVG and had a fiery series against the Marlins, batting a total of 6-for-12 in the three games. With his last save, Cal Raleigh reached 10 HRs this season, the same number of saves that Andrés Muñoz reached, getting three no-hit outs for the Mariners' 16th win of the season.

Now they host the Angels for their first divisional matchup of the season. The Angels had started off doing well but are once again struggling to stop their slumps, having been swept by the Twins in Minneapolis, unable to generate even a run in the final 18 innings.
