The Los Angeles Angels will begin the second half of the season in Philadelphia with a three-game weekend series against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. First Pitch for this interleague contest is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. EST.

Jose Soriano is scheduled to get the start for the Angels today. The right-hander is 6-7 on the year in 20 starts with a 3.90 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and a .258 OBA. He has been at his best when pitching on the road with a 5-2 record in ten road starts with a 2.47 ERA and .239 OBA. He lost his last start before the break; he’s gone 1-2 with q 3.38 ERA in three July starts. The Phillies are going with Jesus Luzardo to kick the second half of the season off. Luzardo went 8-5 in 19 starts in the first half of the year with a 4.14 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and .272 OBA. He has not had his best stuff at home this season, going 4-2 in nine starts with a 4.53 ERA and .281 OBA. In two July starts, he is 1-1 with a 5.0 ERA. However, in the first, he only lasted two innings and gave up five earned runs (six total).
