The Los Angeles Angels (12-17) will visit the Chicago White Sox (11-17) tonight to start a 3-game series to close out the month. Both teams are at the bottom of their division in the standings.

The White Sox have lost their last 2 games and ultimately their series against the Washington Nationals over the weekend. They posted just 4 runs over those 2 losses and are now 25th in MLB in total runs scored with just 113 runs. They will start Anthony Kay, who is coming off a horrendous start against the Diamondbacks. He allowed 8 earned runs on 8 hits while also walking 3 batters over just 3.2 innings of work.

He will be countered by Jack Kochanowicz, who had a much better outing in his last start. He went 5.2 innings and allowed just 1 run on 5 hits against the Blue Jays. He will be tasked with helping this Angels team snap a 3-game losing streak after the Royals swept them over the weekend.

Both teams have been struggling with their pitching all season. They each rank outside the top 20 in MLB in combined ERA, but LA should have the advantage with Kochanowicz on the mound tonight.
