There are four English Premier League fixtures due to take place on Sunday, with Liverpool vs Arsenal being the main attraction. It's certainly the biggest of the four fixtures. This is a game between two teams that have each won their first two games of the new campaign, with the hosts beating both Bournemouth and Newcastle in dramatic and late fashion, while Arsenal picked up a low-key win (and a clean sheet) against Manchester United, before hammering in five against a sorry-looking Leeds teams last weekend. Having been locked together not once, but twice last season, can either team inflict an early blow on one of their main title rivals? Or will we see another stalemate unfold? All will be revealed at Anfield.

From a form point of view, neither side can yet be criticized, at least not heavily, though you'd have to say that so far, it is the Gunners who've created the better impression. While Liverpool needed a late winner first time out, the Gunners scored early against Manchester United, before defending well to claim all three points, while they were certainly convincing when scoring five goals last weekend. In contrast, the Reds struggled to dominate at Newcastle. In fact, for most of the first half, they were massively on the back foot, and even though they faced just ten players in the second half, they found it hard to get on top.

The hosts don't have too many major personnel problems at present, though they will be without the services of summer signing Jeremie Frimpong, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury. Aside from Frimpong, Arne Slot has all of his best players available. Despite scoring a historical goal off the bench last time out, teenager Rio Ngumoha is once again booked for a place on the bench.

The Gunners have a few more issues to contend with. Last weekend, both Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka were forced off. Neither are expected to feature here, with the Norwegian suffering from a shoulder problem, while Saka is out with a thigh injury. Kai Haverts and Gabriel Jesus are also out, while Ben White and Christian Norgaard aren't likely to be fit enough to feature. New signing Eberechi Eze is expected to feature.
