On Sunday evening, it's LA Galaxy vs LAFC at Dignity Health Sports Park, where the hosts will be hoping to get out of their rut. Unfortunately, El Trafico is a huge game, one that puts lots of pressure on both teams, so the fact that tha Galaxy arrive struggling for form must be seen as a huge negative. As touched on above, the hosts are badly out of form. Not only have Vanney's men lost each of their last five games, but in all competitions, they've won just one out of 17 games this season, losing 12 of the other 16. When the Galaxy lifted that famous MLS Cup trophy at the end of the 2024 campaign, such a run really was unthinkable, but hey, that's soccer in a nutshell. Even the mighty can fall and fall quickly.
As far as Sunday's visitors are concerned, well, things are going well. Sure, Cherundolo's men had a bit of a rocky start, but they've recently steadied themselves well, losing none of their last six fixtures, three of which they've won.
