The Los Angeles Sparks (12-22) visit the Connecticut Sun (8-25) for a 2026 WNBA regular season matchup on Tuesday, August 18, at Mohegan Sun Arena.
In their first matchup back in May, the Sun surprised the Sparks with a hard-fought 84-81 victory. Aneesah Morrow led the way for Connecticut, hauling in a double-double performance of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Kennedy Burke came off the bench to chip in 14 markers.
But since that game, Connecticut has been on a downward spiral. They've also traded away Morrow to the Toronto Tempo, and injuries to their key players aren't helping, either.
The Sun have lost seven of their last eight games, including their last two. Their offense has been the main culprit so far, as they rank last in the league in offensive rating (99.9).
Aaliyah Edwards and Brittney Griner are both listed as questionable for Tuesday.
As for the Sparks, they're also on a four-game losing skid. They're coming off an 80-70 loss to the Washington Mystics, with their offense getting exposed. Los Angeles only shot 39.3% from the field in that loss.
Monique Akoa Makani, Cameron Brink, and Erica Wheeler are all listed as questionable for the rematch against the Sun.
