After going 0-3 in their season opener, the Brewers were hoping a return home would help change their fortune, but that was not the case in Game 1 yesterday. The Royals' lineup pummeled the Milwaukee pitching staff for 11 runs off 14 hits and five walks. Elvin Rodriguez was pulled after four innings, having given up six hits and four runs. They’ll turn to rookie right-hander Chad Patrick for today’s game. Patrick has one inning under his belt this season, out of the bullpen vs. the Yankees (gave up two hits, two runs, and a home run). The Royals are slated to give right-hander Michael Lorenzen the start, his first of the season.
