The Kansas State Wildcats (9-8, 0-4 Big 12) will go for their first conference win of the season tonight when they take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, OK. Tipoff for this Big 12 contest is scheduled for 10 p.m. EST, with coverage on the CBS Sports Network.
It has been an up-and-down season for K-State. They started the year with a five-game win streak. But then they lost four in a row (one to Nebraska, No. 25 Indiana, Bowling Green, and Seton Hall). They got back on track against Mississippi Valley State, 108-49, but have struggled in conference play, losing their opener to No. 10 BYU, 83-73, followed by a 101-76 loss to No. 1 Arizona. They last played on Wednesday at home, where they lost to UCF, 82-73. As for Oklahoma State, the Cowboys cruised through their nonconference schedule, going 12-1, losing only to the Sooners (85-76, December 13). But Big 12 play has been a lot tougher with losses to No. 15 Texas Tech, a win over No. 25 UCF, and another loss (to No. 3 Iowa). They last played on Tuesday, losing to the Baylor Bears at home, 94-79.
