These Nationals continue to produce runs in abundance day after day, and although the unreliable bullpen allowed the Royals to score two runs in the seventh and one in the ninth, Washington was able to hold onto the lead, win its fourth straight game, and, flying under the radar, these young Nats have captured a Wild Card spot.

The Nationals have a chance to complete their first sweep since April 10-12, when they swept the Brewers. If they manage to win the final game of the series on Wednesday against the Royals, who can't seem to find a way to be competitive on the road, they will achieve that sweep.

They took Game 2 6-4 with a three-run homer by Mead, but an electric offense emerged on Tuesday; it was Nasim Nuñez, who scored three times and hit two triples. Washington must capitalize on the fact that Kansas City has a 12-24 record on the road this year; In betting, one of the best strategies was to consistently bet against them, and to make matters worse, they've lost Maikel García again.
