Rangers have won 3 games in a row, yet their record of 36-40 has them far from any dispute for a wild card at the moment. Ranger's offense is not too similar to that of the 2023 champion team. They barely average 4.3 runs per game and their offense does not appear, except for the AVG where they are 17th, in any of the top 20 teams in any offensive category. The Rangers starting pitching has responded recently, as did Gray in game 2, and it is the only reason why the Rangers win every game, and that is because the bullpen, despite the good names, is the 5th worst in the MLB and in today's MLB a good Bullpen is essential.

Royals, however, are also going through a slump in their baseball having lost 7 of their last 10 games and having by far their worst in a month in June. They went from hitting 269 collectively to 231 and it will most likely be their month with the fewest HRs with a difference of at least 5. The legendary Max Scherezer returned from injury and will be the Rangers pitcher for Sunday's game in what will probably be a brief appearance .
