The San Francisco Giants look to extend their current three-game winning streak as they welcome the Kansas City Royals to Oracle Park for Game 2 of their series on Tuesday. The Giants took the opener on Monday, continuing their recent surge, while the Royals are hoping to stop the bleeding after a rough stretch of play.

Kansas City has had a surprisingly strong start to the 2025 season, entering this matchup with a 27-22 record. However, that early success has started to waver. Despite being four games above .500, the Royals sit in fourth place in the tightly contested AL Central.

That slump makes them a favorable opponent for Birdsong to ease into the starting rotation.
