The Giants will try to keep the good times rolling today when they kick off a three-game series vs. the Kansas City Royals at Oracle Park in San Francisco. First pitch is scheduled for 9:45 p.m. EST.

San Francisco will bring some momentum into the series, having just swept the A’s over the weekend. The first game was a blowout, 9-1, but the last two were low-scoring, close games; the Giants won Game 2 1-0 in extra innings and the third game on Sunday 3-2. Kansas City, on the other hand, would love to build some momentum after stopping a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Runs have been hard to come by; during the losing streak, they were outscored 17-7 and shut out once.

Runs may be hard to come by for both teams tonight. Kansas City is scheduled to give Kris Bubic the start. Bubic is 4-2 in nine starts with a 1.62 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. San Francisco is going with Robbie Ray on the mound. Ray has gone 6-0 in nine starts with a 3.04 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP.
