The Royals' inspiration was cut short abruptly in their visit to the Astros at Minute Maid Park where they already lost the first three games, without being the favorite in any of them and where they were unable to score more than 3 runs in any game.

The pitching duel for the 4th game where the Astros will seek the sweep seems even more promising for the Astros, since they will face Marsh, who has a 4.67 ERA, has not yet reached 100 strikeouts in the year and the Royals lost in each of the last 5 times that Marsh started a game. Marsh had a really bad August, in his last 5 starts he allowed HRs in all of them, the Yankees hit 3 HRs against him and the Mariners 2. In none of those last 5 starts did he manage to pitch at least 6 innings.

The Royals swept the Astros in the series in Kansas City, a long time ago in April when the team started the season hitting quite a bit. The batting of this team, however, was even better after the All-Star game in the months of July and August where they hit a collective AVG of 270 or higher. But when they arrived in Houston, the betting sites thought that the Royals' bats would do little against the good starting pitching of the Astros and they were not wrong.
