Detroit Tigers vs Kansas City Royals Prediction & Picks - MLB

The fourth game of the series between the Kansas City Royals and the Detroit Tigers will take place this afternoon at Comerica Park. If the Royals can pull out the win, they will split the series. Otherwise, the Tigers will take it 3-1.

In game one, the Tigers used some timely hitting in the 7th inning to come back from a 2-0 deficit and take a 3-2 lead. After the Royals tied it back up in the top of the 8th, Dillon Dingler doubled in Hao-Yu Lee to take the lead for good, 4-3.

Pitching reigned supreme in game two of the series. The Royals used reliever Beck Way to start, and after he allowed 2 runs in his solo inning of work, he was pulled for Noah Cameron, who went 7 innings of scoreless work. However, he was outdueled by Detroit’s Tarik Skubal. He struck out 12 on his way to his 7th win of the season and held the Royals to just 1 run on 4 hits in the 2-1 win.

Last night, the Royals finally got the best of the Tigers. In another pitching duel, Michael Wacha and Casey Mize combined to allow just 3 runs in their 13 innings of work. With the game knotted at 3 in the top of the 9th, Nick Lofton launched a homer to deep left off Jacob Waguespack. Alex Lange came in and picked up his 10th save of the season.
