Kansas City has batted .312 at the plate while scoring 7.6 runs per game during their recent five-game stretch. The Royals have been almost unhittable lately, giving up just 2.80 ERA and a .251 OBP in their last five assignments. Kansas City (62-49) is still trailing the Cleveland Guardians (67-42) by six games, but they can still make a run at the No.1 spot of their division with plenty of regular-season baseball left on their schedule. On the other hand, the Tigers have dropped their last five assignments, including the last two to the Royals. Detroit's pitching staff has been in flux in the last five games, allowing nearly seven runs a game with a 6.80 ERA. The Tigers have also been having a hard time scoring runs during this underwhelming five-game stretch, averaging just 1.4 runs on a .134 BA.
