DraftKings has listed the Guardians as -121 favorites to win again over the Royals.

The Guardians have won their last four games, including Monday’s 10-2 win over the Royals. Sporting a 3.90 ERA in the season, Cleveland has further lowered their ERA over the last five games to 1.84 after surrendering only six runs during the four-game win streak. Cleveland has also experienced a slight improvement in their offense, averaging 4.9 runs per game over the said 5-game span. At 73-70, Cleveland is still out of the AL wildcard picture, trailing the Seattle Mariners – the current holder of the final wild card slot – by 2.5 games.

The Royals suffered back-to-back losses to Minnesota 1-5 and Cleveland 2-10 after winning three games in a row over the weekend. As a result, Kansas City slid to third in the AL Central with a 73-71 record, trailing Cleveland by only a half game and the Mariners by three games in the wild card race. The Royals’ ERA in their last five games has increased to 4.30 after surrendering 10 runs to Cleveland in Game 1. Kansas City has averaged 4.3 runs per game in the said five-game stretch, though they have just scored a total of three runs in the past two games.
