The Kansas City Royals (59-49 SU, 60-48 ATS) look to complete the sweep of the Chicago White Sox (27-83 SU, 48-62 ATS), who would just like to see the losing stop. The White Sox have clinched a losing record for the season and established a new franchise record for its longest losing streak at 16 games. Chicago hasn’t won since beating Minnesota on July 10, and the Pale Hose couldn’t even enjoy that one because it was the first game of a doubleheader and they immediately went out and started another losing streak that night.
Unfortunately for Kansas City, this is the last time all season that it will see the White Sox. The Royals have battered Chicago all season (as most teams have), owning an 11-1 mark against their AL Central rival. That alone is responsible for Kansas City being in the AL wild card race, as the Royals are a .500 ball club against the rest of MLB.

In six of his past seven starts, he’s held the opponent to one run or less, and if Kansas City gives him anything resembling run support, he’s usually a good bet for the win.
He also just beat the White Sox 11 days ago and allowed just seven base runners in seven innings. He understands how to beat this lineup, and the White Sox just made themselves a little worse with their trade deadline moves.
