The Chicago Cubs will host the Kansas City Royals today in Game Two of a three-game series at Wrigley Field in the Windy City. Fans can follow the contest once it begins at 8:05 p.m. EST. Game One of the series went to the Royals yesterday, 12-4. Chicago got ahead 4-1 after the second but failed to score again. Kansas City tacked on two in the top of the fourth and then took the lead for good with four in the fifth. A four-run eighth for the Royals closed out the scoring.

 A former Cubbie, Rich Hill, is scheduled to start the game for Kansas City. The 45-year-old has been pitching for the Royals Triple-A team since the beginning of June. In 42 innings, he has posted a 5.36 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP. He’ll become the oldest player in the league once the Royals call him up. While he is slated to be the starter, there is talk that he could be used in bulk relief, so it is unclear how long his leash may be. As for the Cubs, they’ll hand the ball to Matthew Boyd to start the day. Boyd is 10-3 in 19 starts with a 2.34 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and .227 OBA. He has gone 8-0 In nine home starts, with a 2.21 ERA and .207 OBA.
