=11.0ptIt has been a wild start to the season for the San Francisco 49ers. Injuries have piled up on both sides of the ball, forcing unproven player into prominent roles and while their record is just .500 at 3-3, it has been an impressive start for them. Jordan Mason has been superb, filling in for the injured superstar Christian McCaffery. However, he was forced out of their last game after just 9 carries and Isaac Guerendo stepped up in his steed. Guerendo took 10 carries for 99 yards and helped the Niners defeat their division rival Seattle Seahawks 36-24 last Thursday night. The extended break before this game was much needed as they face the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs who are coming off their bye week. The Chiefs have not been uber flashy but have gotten their job done each week this season. They lost their starting RB, Isaiah Pacheco for an extended time but grabbed former lead back, Kareem Hunt who has filled in nicely. In their last game, a 26-13 win over the Saints, it was another veteran that stepped up. Juju Smith-Schuster caught 7 balls for 130 yards in the win. Without Rashee Rice, someone needs to step up in the receiving corps and Juju did just that.
