The UFC Fight Night will head to Baku, Azerbaijan, for the first time this coming weekend, with Jamahal Hill (12-3-0) and Khalil Rountree (14-6-0) squaring off in a light heavyweight bout. Jamahal "Sweet Dreams" Hill will be looking to return to winning ways after losing his last two shootouts. In January this year, he lost to Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311 via a KO punch in the third round. Earlier in April 2024, he failed to defend his title for the first time when he lost via a KO punch in the first round against Alex Pereira. The 31-year-old certainly has something to prove.
Khalil Rountree, meanwhile, hasn't fought since October last year when he was defeated in a title matchup by Alex Pereira at UFC 307. This matchup came with a heavy prize for 'The War Horse,' who was brutalized by the former heavyweight champion in a KO loss. In fact, he had to pause his post-fight interview to attend to his bleeding nose. Like his opponent, he'll be eager to bounce back from the loss, setting the stage for an explosive fight.

Rountree is the -165 betting favorite. Some may argue that he's one of the hardest hitters outside Pereira in the division and can easily end the game if he can find his range. However, neither fighter has anything to show for in the grappling department, meaning we should expect some heavy striking exchanges. The numbers favor Hill in this area, averaging a striking success rate of 53%, whereas his opponent averages 38%. He's also the bigger and stronger fighter with a better gas tank.
