The Jacksonville State Gamecocks will try to remain undefeated in conference play when they head to Murfreesboro, TN, to face the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, who have yet to win a conference game. Kickoff at Johnny ‘Red” Floyd Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Jacksonville State will take a two-game winning streak into this contest, including a narrow win over a poor Sam Houston State team (29-27) and a commanding win over Delaware (38-25). Cam Cook had a solid day, running for 117 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Caden Creel had an efficient day, completing 66.67% of his passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. As for Middle Tennessee, it has been a rough season for the Blue Raiders. They lost three of their first four games by double-digit points. But they were much better in their last three, losing by eight to Kennesaw State, but then by two and three points. QB Nicholas Vattiato has thrown the ball well (267 and 276 yards), but the Blue Raiders have struggled to establish a run game (86 and 103 yards). That has been an issue all season as they have the 132nd-ranked run game in the country (85.7 ypg).
