The Los Angeles Rams will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard this week when they host Daniel Jones and the undefeated Indianapolis Colts. Gametime at SoFI Stadium in Inglewood, CA, is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. EST on Sunday, Sept. 28.
LA is coming off a disappointing loss to the Eagles in Philadelphia. After leading for most of the game, they fell behind by one when the Eagles scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:48 on the clock. That was enough time for the Rams to get into position for a 44-yard field goal as time expired—which was blocked and returned the other way for a touchdown. As for the Colts, Daniel Jones and the Indy offense has been one of the more pleasant surprises of the season so far. They are undefeated (3-0) and averaging 34.3 points per game, second only to the Ravens (37 points per game) and tied with Detroit. While many seem to be waiting for hi to fail, Daniel Jones has played extremely well. He has the fourth most passing yards in the league through Week 3 and the sixth best passer rating. However, his nay sayers are quick to say that he’s generated those stats against weak teams (and they were weak, i.e., Tennessee and Miami; Denver wasn’t weak but the Colts should have lost that one).

The big question may be whether or not you believe in Danny Dimes, but that is not the only thing to consider. For one, the Colts defense has been playing lights out and will make it hard on the Rams offense to get on track. Also, while the Rams gave the Eagles a solid fight, they still lost and their opponents have not been impressive either. I’m going to choose to believe Daniel Jones is legit and that the Colts will keep this game close if not win outright.
