The Indiana Pacers will go for broke on Thursday as they look to close out their Eastern Conference final series with the New York Knicks in Game 5 at Madison Square Garden.
The Pacers moved one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time in 25 years after posting a 130-121 win over the Knicks in Game 4. Tyrese Haliburton starred for his team, recording 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 15 dimes in 38 minutes. He got plenty of help from his teammates, especially All-Star forward Pascal Siakam, who dropped 30 on 11-for-21 shooting. The Pacers used a 33-point explosion in the third quarter to seize full control of the match and the series.
The Knicks return home on Thursday searching for a spark that would help them turn this series around. Jalen Brunson scored 31 points in Game 4 but was only 9-for-19 from the field. Og Anunoby (22 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (24 points) chipped in at least 20 points each, but their bench continued to be a non-factor in this series. New York also turned the ball over 17 times and let Indiana torch them with a 51 percent FG shooting.
