The Miami Heat will try to stay above .500 as they take on the slumping Indiana Pacers on Saturday at Kaseya Center.
The Heat, who are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games at home, are pegged at -8.5 points on the spreadline.

Miami ended its three-game slump with a 126-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks on December 26. Norman Powell (25 points) and Pelle Larson (21 points) scored at least 20 points each and Kel’el Ware dominated in the paint with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jaime Jaquez Jr. provided some scoring punch off the bench with 16 markers. The Heat stayed above .500 at 16-15.
Meanwhile, the Pacers have lost their last seven games, including a blowout loss to the Boston Celtics, 122-140, on Friday. Andrew Nembhard led the way with 18 points and 8 assists, while three bench players scored in double figures. Despite their balanced offense, the Pacers could not stop the torrid hot offense from the Celtics, who made 57 percent of their field goal attempts. At 6-25, the Pacers are now the worst team in the East, which is a sharp turnaround after reaching the finals last June.

Miami hasn’t been a reliable pick against the spread as of late, going 1-6 ATS in its last seven games at home. The Heat are also sorely missing the service of their double-double machine, Bam Adebayo (back), and scorer Tyler Herro (toe), making things hard for Miami to pull away from struggling teams like the Pacers. Remember, Indiana is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games against Miami. While the chance of an upset win is slim, I feel the Pacers can provide a tough fight against the home team.
