The Brooklyn Nets will host the Indiana Pacers this Sunday night at the Barclays Center. There, they hope to pick up their 1st win of the season.
The Nets have dropped their opening two games of the season to Charlotte and Cleveland. The Cleveland loss came just last night, when they battled back from a large deficit in the 4th quarter, but even scoring 41 in the final frame was simply not enough. Porter Jr., Randle, and Demin all scored 20+ points in the loss for the Nets. The Cavs made the most of their limited shot attempts. They shot over 50% from the field despite taking 19 fewer shots.
The Pacers opened their season with a solid 123-120 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Pascal Siakam led all scorers with 30 points on 13 of 23 shooting. Haliburton pitched in with 23 points of his own and added 12 assists. While the win was nice, they came back and got knocked around at home against the Mavericks in their last game. They committed 19 turnovers in the 121-105 loss to Dallas. Siakam dropped 23 in the loss, but they allowed 6 different Mavs players to reach double digits. Shooting 50% from the field, the Mavericks were scorching hot in that one.
