The Houston Rockets visit the Golden State Warriors for Game 3 of their 2025 first-round playoff matchup on April 26, Saturday, at the Chase Center.
With the series tied 1-1, both teams head to Golden State with a main storyline: Jimmy Butler's pelvis injury. After a horrible fall in Game 2, Butler will sit out the next game of the series. The Warriors will miss Butler's 17.9 points and 5.9 assists, and most importantly his work on the defensive end.
Without one of their top guys, the Warriors have their work cut out in front of them. They're reeling from a 15-point loss in Game 2, a match that saw them cough up the ball 15 times.
So far, offense has been difficult to come by for the Dubs in this series. They have failed to reach the 96-point mark in the first two games, bringing their offensive rating to only 106.3. That will further take a hit with Butler's absence.
Meanwhile, the Rockets enter Game 3 with a lot of confidence. Jalen Green just produced a massive 38-point performance in Game 2, hitting eight three-pointers and dishing out six assists. The Rockets defense also forced Steph Curry and Draymond Green to a combined 11 turnovers.
