The Houston Dynamos will move into the MLS Western Conference wild card places if they can defeat bottom side LA Galaxy at the Shell Energy Stadium this weekend. Last time out, Houston ended a nine game winless run, thanks to a nervous 3-2 victory in St Louis. However, that display was far from convincing and suggested that Ben Olsen's side are still lacking in confidence. If they can pull off another win this week, it will go a long way towards getting them back on track for a play off push.
It has been a thoroughly miserable season for the Galaxy. An abysmal start to the campaign effectively ruined their postseason ambitions, and despite a slight upturn in form, they are still stranded at the bottom of the table. However, LA did thrash Colorado 3-0 in their last MLS outing, so if they can produce a similar display in Houston, it could be a tricky evening for the Dynamos.
