The San Francisco Giants (33-34 SU, 32-35 ATS) look to keep their momentum rolling against the Houston Astros (30-37 SU, 30-37 ATS) after winning four of their past five games. The Giants dug themselves a hole at the start of June with a six-game pratfall, which left them eight games back of Los Angeles in the NL West. But in the ultra-forgiving National League, only five teams sit above .500, and the Giants still hold a playoff spot despite their mark.
Houston’s also still in the thick of things, although the Astros still can’t seem to decide whether they really are in or out. Every time Houston starts to get close, the Astros give back ground and ultimately gain nothing. With Detroit and Baltimore next to visit after this swing, the Astros have to start stringing some wins together soon if they’re going to get back in this race.
