The Los Angeles Angels will go for the series win over the Astros when they host Houston in Game 3 of their weekend series today. The action is scheduled to get underway at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA, at 4:07 p.m. EST.

Houston edged out the Angels in Game 1 of the series on Friday, 3-2, but Los Angeles came back with a vengeance in Game 2 with a 9-1 victory in Game 2 yesterday. Jose Soriano held the Astros lineup to three hits and a run over 6 2/3 innings. Houston’s starter Brandon Walter had pitched well over his first three starts (1.53 ERA), but got lit up by the Angels, nine hits (two home runs) and seven runs over six innings. The Astros will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard with Ryan Gusto on the mound to start the day. Gusto is 4-3 in ten starts and 16 appearances this season with a 4.31 ERA and 1.53 WHIP. But he has been much better on the road, though, where he is 1-1 in two starts and six appearances with a 2.40 ERA. 

Kyle Hendricks is getting the start for the Angels. Hendricks has a 5-6 record in 14 starts with a 4.79 ERA. He has gone 3-3 at home in six starts with a 4.04 ERA and .265 OBA.
