Listed as -101 underdogs, the Houston Astros will try to complete a three-game series sweep against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday at Oriole Park in Camden Yards.
The Astros outslugged the Orioles in the first two games, beating them 7-2 in Game 1 before coming through with a 10-7 win in Game 2. Houston still holds the top spot in the AL West with a 71-58 record, but their closest trailers, the Seattle Mariners (69-60), are only two games off the mark. Houston is still missing the service of sluggers Jake Meyers (Calf) and Yordan Alvarez (hand) due to injuries.

Take the Astros to win and sweep this series. Their starting pitcher for Game 3, Spencer Arrighetti, has been in a slump in his last four starts, yet I still feel Houston has a strong chance to win three in a row with the Orioles after seeing them outplay the home team in the first two games. Houston is averaging only 3.5 runs per game in their last five games, but they have already tallied a total of 17 runs against the Orioles with still one game left in the series.
Arrighetti, who threw six scoreless innings the last time he faced off against the Orioles, will match up against Baltimore’s Dean Kramer. Kramer is a sturdy pitcher out of the Orioles’ starting rotation who can pitch really well when he gets hot. Kramer pitched through seven scoreless innings to power the Orioles to a resounding 12-0 win on August 17. But despite Kramer’s superb numbers, I still think the Astros have figured out how to beat the Astros consistently, judging by the way they outplayed the Orioles in both Game 1 and Game 2.
