The Green Bay Packers (0-0 SU, 0-0 ATS) face the Philadelphia Eagles (0-0 SU, 0-0 ATS) in the NFL’s first game to be played in South America. Both teams will be looking to prove something, as the Eagles have a lot to make up for after last season. Philadelphia made the Super Bowl two years ago and looked like a strong bet to make it back in the first half of the season. Instead, the Eagles gradually fell apart and became a team that shocked nobody by losing in the wild card round.
Green Bay looked like it took a step forward in the playoffs when it routed Dallas, a game seen as Jordan Love’s proving ground. The Packers went from 3-6 to making the divisional round, in large part because of their defense. Green Bay held six of their final eight opponents to 24 points or less, which was more than enough for Love to get rolling. This opener will show whether the Packers’ rise was for real.

But a late first-rounder and an early second-rounder don’t fix a terrible pass defense in just one game, especially against a quarterback like Love.
