Another chapter in one of the longest-running rivalries in the NFL will take place Saturday night when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field in the Windy City. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. EST, and coverage will be provided by Fox.
The stakes are always high for a rivalry game; no matter how a season plays out, if you win a rivalry game, you have bragging rights for the next year. But this one will mean a little more because the winner will control the NFC North division race. However, both teams will be missing key personnel for this game. Green Bay has lost defensive standout Micah Parsons to an ACL tear. As for the Bears, while they are more dependent on the run game, Caleb Williams will be without two of his best receivers, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden. Green Bay won the first game vs. the Bears at home a couple of weeks ago, 28-21. Jordan Love had a solid, efficient day in the passing game, and the run game chipped in 100+ yards. The Packers defense held the Chicago run game to 138 yards and didn’t allow a run of over nine yards. But the key play was the interception Caleb Williams threw on what could have been a game-tying touchdown drive.

Not having Micah Parsons in the lineup will factor into this game. His production has been through the roof in recent weeks and will be hard/impossible to replace. Given how close the game was a couple of weeks ago, his absence could be the deciding factor. Not having two of his top receivers will hurt, but the Bears are more about the run game anyway. Without Parsons controlling the edge, Chicago will get on track earlier in the game this time around and not need a last-minute drive to tie up or win the game.
