The Golden State Valkyries (1-0) visit the Dallas Wings (0-1) for Game 2 of their 2026 WNBA Playoffs First Round matchup on Wednesday, September 30, at College Park Center.
The Valkyries took the first game of this series on the heels of a dominant 104-80 victory. The first quarter was a tightly contested affair, with the Valkyries leading by one precarious point.
But Golden State would flex their might in the second quarter, as they broke the game wide open. They scored 37 points in that quarter, while holding the Wings to only 11 points. By the end of the first half, the Valkyries had already built a massive 27-point lead.
Three Valkyries scored at least 20 points in the Game 1 win. Cecilia Zandalasini led their charge with 22 points on 4-for-5 from the three-point line. Tiffany Hayes came off the bench to put up 21 points in just 18 minutes of play, while Gabby Williams chipped in 20 markers of her own.
Paige Bueckers led the Wings with her 21 points. Dallas actually shot the ball well (46.7%), but their second-quarter collapse was too difficult to overcome.
