The first quarter final of the FIFA Club World Cup sees Brazilian side Fluminense take on surprise package Al Hilal at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. The winners of the tie will face the winners of the clash between Chelsea and Palmeiras for a place in the tournament final.
Fluminense booked their place in the last eight thanks to a fantastic 2-0 victory over Inter Milan in the second round. Hercules and GermánCano were the goalscoring heroes, whilst the Fluminense defence provided an outstanding all round display to keep the Italians at bay. Meanwhile, Al Hilal produced one of the biggest shocks in tournament history when they defeated Manchester City 4-3 after extra time, thanks to a 112th minute winner from Marcos Leonardo.

Fluminense - Al Hilal: Form Analysis
Fluminense's progress has been built on a rock solid defence that has kept clean sheets in three of their four tournament matches. They began the competition with a hard fought 0-0 draw against Borussia Dortmund, before coming from behind to defeat Ulsan HD 4-2 in their second game. Another 0-0 draw, this time against Mamelodi Sundowns, secured their place in the last 16, where they produced another superb rearguard to oust Inter Milan.
Al Hilal defying the odds
Few experts predicted Al Hilal to get out of Group H, but the Saudi side produced three impressive performances to secure the runners up spot. They started by holding tournament favorites Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw, before playing out a gritty 0-0 draw with Red Bull Salzburg that left them needing to beat Pachuca in their final game. They duly obliged by defeating the Mexicans 2-0 with goals from Salem Al-Dawsari and Marcos Leonardo. That set up a last 16 clash with Manchester City. After conceding an early goal, Al Hilal bravely battled back, before eventually securing a famous 4-3 victory in extra time.

On the plus side, Musab Al Juwayr was able to make an appearance off the bench during the Manchester City clash, and the midfielder may now be fit enough for a starting spot in midfield.
