The last qualified team for the NHL Conferences finals will be determined next Sunday when Toronto Maple Leafs face Florida Panthers at 05:30 pm CST. This series can definitely be considered as the most attractive of the second round as it was the only one which extended for seven games. In this matter, playing at home could be considered as an advantage for Toronto, but the reality is that Florida won’t give up as they still have chances of battling for their back-to-back Stanley Cup championship.

In addition, it must be noted that Toronto Maple Leafs took themselves to the limit as they were able to break a streak of three losses in a row after their most recent victory over Florida (0-2), however it must be noted that the Maple Leafs haven’t been able to score more than 2 goals during their last three games in a row. Despite that bad offensive performance, it must be noted that Auston Matthews was finally able to score in the series.

Meanwhile, Florida Panthers had an exponentially opposite level during their last game against Toronto, not only because they couldn’t score any goals, but also because none of their most dangerous players like Ekblad, Verhaeghe and Tkachuk weren’t able to shoot at least one time on target during the first period. With those numbers in mind, Florida must mentally recover to carry on looking for the Eastern Conference final.
